Supreme Court

Women gained the right to vote in Colorado on November 7, 1893, The suffering women went through was made the Supreme Court give women this right. Additionally Colorado was the first state in the United States that gave women the right to vote. Also what influenced this decision were the actions taken by female activists who began a movement to empower women and speak up about the unfair things women went through. Before this, throughout the earlier half of the decade, all propositions of women gaining a right to vote were defeated/rejected. In the end the hard work this movement did was payed off.
